Cutting: When 'Kate' talks about people working hard to achieve success, the Queen quips: 'Like you did?'It seems our Chengdu Tourism taxi advertising campaign has attracted a lot of media attention and caused a bit of a stir.

Two articles have featured in the Sunday Express:

‘Kate Middleton mocked as royal gold-digger by Chinese officials.’

and the Daily Mail:

‘I didn’t marry into royalty to schlep around in a taxi’: Kate is branded a gold-digger in bizarre promotional video for Chinese city.’

Despite the coverage, the promotional video does not claim Kate Middleton to be a ‘gold digger’ which is implied by both writers of the articles.

The Chengdu Taxi campaign started around the Diamond Jubilee which is the reason the lookalike ‘Royal Family’ were hired to appear in the promotional video. The taxis will will run throughout the 2012 Olympics in London promoting the historical city of Chengdu. To find out more click here to read our article.
